Legacy EHR data platform rebuild for a health-tech scale-up

The platform was a monolith that had accumulated 40+ tightly-coupled services. Every release was risky, and feature velocity had plateaued.

We ran a two-phase rebuild: first a strangler-fig extraction of the highest-churn domains, then a modular service platform with a clean data layer and proper testing. We kept the product running the whole time.

After the migration, page load dropped 68%, on-call alerts fell 90%, and the team could ship independently per service for the first time.
