Real-time payment reconciliation for a fintech

Our client processed millions of payments across multiple rails and was reconciling them manually at month-end — a three-day, error-prone process that blocked the finance team.

We designed and built a streaming reconciliation service that matches transactions in near real time, flags exceptions for review, and produces an auditable ledger. We embedded with their engineering team, shipped in their repo, and left documented runbooks.

The result: reconciliation went from a 3-day monthly grind to a continuous, 40-minute automated run, with a full exception workflow for the edge cases.
